Memorial Visual Communication

This project involved the design and coordination of a complete visual communication system for a memorial ceremony. The objective was to deliver clear, respectful, and accessible materials across print, digital, and live formats, ensuring consistent messaging for both in-person and remote attendees. The work required fast execution, technical reliability, and sensitivity to context under real-world constraints.

The challenge

The project had to be delivered within a very short timeframe and involved multiple stakeholders, frequent revisions, and emotionally sensitive content. All materials needed to remain visually consistent while being adapted across different platforms, formats, and technical requirements. In addition, the ceremony had to be accessible to remote participants through a live broadcast, requiring careful coordination between visual assets and technical setup.

The Solution

I developed a structured visual system that could adapt quickly across formats while maintaining clarity and cohesion. Design decisions focused on legibility, restrained typography, and a controlled color palette to ensure respectful communication. Assets were designed to be easily revised and repurposed as feedback was received, allowing the project to evolve without breaking visual consistency.

A System Built to Endure

The visual system was designed for flexibility and reliability. Social media announcements and printed bookmarks were created using a combination of Canva and Photoshop, allowing for efficient revisions and high-quality output. Photo retouching and layout adjustments ensured consistency between digital and printed materials. Final print files were prepared to professional standards and delivered to a commercial print service. This system-based approach ensured that all assets remained aligned, even as changes occurred close to the ceremony date.

  • Canva-based layouts enabling fast updates and version control

  • Photoshop retouching workflow for print and digital image quality

  • Print-ready file preparation and delivery under tight deadlines
